July 21, 2016 - - Lockport and Lighthouses

Copyright by CABS for Reflections Visits Nova Scotia 2016

Two more tidbits.

1. We must be on vacation. Have not done laundry yet.

2. Got me a green bucket now. Till we leave this campground anyway. This recycle thing is province wide. Current owner loaned us one.

The search for lighthouses is on. Lockeport has two.

One easily photographed from town.

The second lighthouse required a slow drive to West Head. And then a stroll.

Fishing docks with windmills in the background.

A pretty church. The graveyard attached overlooked the water. Gorgeous.

A lovely beach with lobster traps just laying there. Not quite sure why. But enjoyed the "atmosphere".

And a nice red roof and a lovely scene.

More lighthouses - - they do start to look like each other - - have discovered they are all pretty much the same.  LOL

First:  near Pubnico

This one is Cape Sable. I thought I had missed it. Was not till I zoomed in that I realized it is covered with scaffolding. I think they said tallest in Nova Scotia. I was disappointed that I thought I had missed it.

This is Seal, something or other. It is a museum and most of it is a reproduction.

And this one says to is at the southern most point in. Nova Scotia? We need to re-read that too. Confused by that. It's called the Baccoro lighthouse.

We had some bridges, of course, what with all the water. Stone bridge to start the day. One way steel bridge to end the day.

Drove many miles today. We saw the "real" Nova Scotia. And some light houses.

These seem to be all over this area. Two different places, one for for each of us.
